I can’t believe I have neglected my blog on here for so long! I am finally getting around to blogging the lovely sun-drenched intimate mountain wedding of the fabulous Kate and Colin! Their wedding took place on a delightfully warm October day surrounded by their closest family and friends at Aurum Food & Wine Restaurant in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Their ceremony was one of the sweetest I have ever witnessed. I absolutely adored being a part of their wedding day!
This session with my friend Desiree was a great one! We walked through the River North neighborhood of Denver and found some fun places to shoot some photos. I love snapping shots in this area of downtown Denver, it’s seriously one of the best spots. Because we are both big beer nuts we were going to do a few brewery shots too but alas I guess we will have to save that for next time! Looking forward to photographing with her again soon! I would love to do some more sessions like this so if you are interested get in touch!
Ah Telluride, what a beautiful place! They don’t call it “the Switzerland of the Rockies” for no reason, these mountains are stunning! Back in June my hubs and I traveled there for the first time. Being a Colorado native I was glad to finally get to this part of the state to see the town I have always heard so much about and a cute town it was! The scenery was unreal! There was also gorgeous flowers everywhere around town and even by the roadsides. Hubs loved the Gondola that takes you to and from Mountain Village, it really had great views! And of course, we couldn’t visit without stopping to check out Telluride Brewing!
I finally got around to blogging my husband and I’s trip to Nashville! We visited this past February it already felt like Spring there with all of the beautiful magnolias and daffodils blooming, it was lovely! It surely was hard to leave the warm weather to come back to Colorado’s winter but it was fine. Nashville has a lot of tasty eats, fun breweries, the Johnny Cash museum, and plenty of live music at historic venues! There is also some really cool architecture and a very pretty botanic garden (Cheekwood Botanical Garden and Museum of Art) it is a fun town for sure, can’t wait to visit again one day!
In April my husband and our best friend traveled to the land of fire and ice…Iceland! We didn’t travel completely around the ring road but did stay in and see some pretty spectacular views from the places we did visit! It’s crazy to see so many waterfalls, icebergs, beaches, volcanoes, birds, horses, and seals in one place! We also saw our mix of weather: snow, sun, rain, mist, freezing rain, overcast, and wind! Got to love that Icelandic wind… now onto the photos!
I recently had the opportunity to shoot some photos for PorchDrinking.com and the fantastic pairing of Stranahan’s Whiskey and Denver’s Brown Palace Hotel on bottling a special barrel of whiskey in honor of The Brown Palace’s 125th Anniversary. It was a very cool event! Be sure to read more about it here. Thanks for having me out! Cheers!
I am finally getting around to posting some of the sessions from this past fall! This one was one of my favorite family lifestyle sessions by far and we lucked out on such a beautiful Colorado evening. This fantastic family was a blast to photograph! Little Ingram sure was enjoying hamming up the camera. He kept me laughing the entire time! Libby and Chad were enjoying themselves as well! Thanks guys for a fun session and unique Denver location!
Denver Beer Festivus is held each year in December at Wings Over the Rockies in Denver, Colorado. I haven’t attended in a couple of years and was excited to go back again this year thanks to PorchDrinking.com for sending me out to cover it! Lots of really excellent craft beer, lots of fun festive holiday outfits, great people, and a good time! Hoping to go again next year too! Cheers!
Crested Butte is one of those quintessential mountain towns that Colorado has to offer. In fact it is better! I really cannot believe how beautiful it is every time I visit. A few weeks back when my husband and I visited again (this time in fall instead of summer) we were even more blown away at its beauty. The first day we visited it was snowing and quite chilly but it made for some pretty spectacular views. The second day, the sun was shining bright and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky…it was amazing to experience two different weather options during the weekend we were there. We kept saying we were “sick from the beauty” there was so much gold to see! It was pretty amazing for sure! Yay CB!
